Because of this, this template uses in rare cases terms, that are different from official/canon terms or terms in the books and hopefully less disrespectful. Some terms are already accepted in the World of Darkness roleplaying and fan community.
The World of Darkness books of the past (and sadly the present) often played fast and lose by using vocabulary from existing cultures. Some terms are names of real people in the real world but are used in the World of Darkness to describe something negative, which is not only disrespectful but actively hurtful. A prime example is the term Metis.
